Outlaw Underground

For this project the client requested a brand new logo associated with the companies directional drilling service. The client provided a scratch ideas and reference images of the direction they wanted to take for the logo as well as gave me suggestions and ideas. To begin the project I started by compiling my own reference material, creating 4 different color palettes for the client, and complied fonts that I felt best suited the overall look of the logo for the client to pick from. After, getting direction from both colorway and font, I began by creating and vectorizing my own design of the driller incorporated in the designs. Next, I incorporated shapes to help provide a stronger contrast and space between the driller and font, as well as unify the pieces together.

Provided I did few different variants with different sizing and placement in order to give the client a handful to pick from. The client ended up going with the circular shaped logo rather then the oval as they liked the more emphasized look of the driller up front rather then smaller with larger font.
