Keg Outdoors - Personal Blog & Social Media Platform

For the following project the client requested a brand new design for logo and branding for their social media page and personal blog. The client provided ideas and thoughts on what they wanted as well as feedback during the sketch and design process. Similar, to other projects I started with research for reference material, color palettes, fonts associated with overall brand expectations, and preliminary sketches to get a better idea and direction on where the client for seen the project going. I ended up creating a few different variations for the logo as seen in the examples below: a barrel with feathers and horns (Main Logo), a barrel on its side with fishing reel and tackle box (Preliminary Design), and a barrel right side up with the same fishing design aspects (Preliminary Design).

Each logo was designed and vectorized to work not only on the clients blogs but future merch they had in mind as well. The design below with the much simpler appearance was done in order to meet Embroidery printing requirements for beanies. In all the client ended up taking a few different variations of these designs for merch and social media posts in order to break up the overall look of their brand. The goal was to maintain a natural, environmental outdoor look along with reflecting on the hobbies that associate with it such as hunting, fishing, etc.
